Hello Bloggers!!😄😊

This is part of chapter chat, The Wild Robot. Sienna, Candice and I, constructed a home for  Roz.

Bears By Lily and Candice

As part of our learning for Chapter Chat 11, we completed mini research projects about stick insects, bears or camouflage.
We have been practising our skills for writing in our own words - no copying and pasting!
This is the learning task I worked on with
Be sure to leave a comment, letting us know what we have done well and what we could improve on!

This week we have been learning about DASH? paragraphs for adventure stories.

D = describe the setting

A = use action

S = use speech

H = describe how the character is feeling

? = use a cliffhanger or rhetorical question. We wrote collaboratively and used a writing frame for this learning task, then we wrote our own paragraphs today.

As Mia and James tiptoed into the forbidden forest they could see hundreds of leafless, ghost-like trees surrounding a broken-down train station. Suddenly, there was a small click and within seconds a dull light shone out of the smashed glass and onto the muddy ground below. “What was that?” whispered Mia. James quickly spun around and gazed at the train station, his blue eyes wide open. The two stood alone with their hearts beating fast. A look of fear and horror filled their faces. They both stared at each other continuously.

They wondered, how are they going to get out of this mess?
